The M.D./Ph.D. program combines world-class basic science training  including translational research  with state-of-the-art clinical medicine. We are committed to providing the depth and breadth of knowledge required to become an exceptional medical research scientist in a program that is specifically designed for each student and guided by close interactions with renowned faculty.

Any applicant to the M.D./Ph.D. program who is not invited to an interview for the M.D./Ph.D. program will be reviewed and may be either rejected or released to the pool of applicants for the M.D. program.

M.D./M.B.A.

The Warrior M.D./M.B.A. program helps physicians-in-training to understand the economic and financial aspects of and the strategic, organizational and operational issues within the health care industry.  These individuals' knowledge and leadership skills will help drive needed health care system improvements.

M.D./M.P.H.

The M.D./M.P.H. program is designed to educate and engage students in public health theory, practice and research to understand and improve the health of urban and diverse populations. The three major functions of the Master of Public Health Program include instruction, research and service in public health.

If you're not ready to commit to a full Master of Public Health degree, you can register for a graduate certificate in public health practice with the option of transferring earned course credits to the M.P.H. degree at a later date.

Wayne State's University's Master of Public Health program is accredited by the Council for Education for Public Health. CEPH is an independent agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to accredit public health programs.
