I’ve received my secondary application email, but I can't access the web portal in order to fill it out?
- If you receive the email and can't login to the application portal, please contact the helpdesk at 313-577-4357 to have your password reset.
- If you can login to the portal but can't access the secondary application, please allow 24 – 48 for the system to refresh.

I’ve paid my fees for the secondary application, but I don’t see a confirmation for it. What should I do?
- If you have your confirmation including a transaction number please allow 24-48 hours for the system to refresh.
- If you did not get the email confirmation, please send an us email with the first and last name of the applicant, AAMC ID, date paid, and last four digits of the cc used.

I’ve completed my secondary application, but did not receive a confirmation email. What should I do?
- If your application portal shows ‘MR’ - application in for review, then your secondary application has been completed and forwarded.
- Please follow your application portal throughout the process as decisions will be posted there.

What documents are needed to satisfy the checklist for Visa or citizenship document?
- Applicants whose portals request citizenship documents or visa documents, should upload a copy of a citizen card, or passport.

To be eligible to apply for admission to the Wayne State University School of Medicine, you must have completed a bachelor's degree including all Medical School pre-requisites and you must be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent, resident, a Canadian citizen, or any student who has completed a bachelor's, masters or doctoral degree at Wayne State University regardless of citizenship.

How can I find out if I have met all of the prerequisite requirements for admissions?
If you have questions regarding the prerequisite coursework, you should contact your pre-med or pre-health advisor at your college or university. They can assist you with that clarification.

How should I answer the essay regarding a re-applicant?
- Anyone who has applied to Wayne State University School of Medicine in the past must complete that essay.
- If you applied to other medical schools but not to WSUSOM, you are not required to complete that essay.
- However, you may complete that essay, if you wish. This will give you a chance to explain areas that you have identified as opportunities to improve and how you have made progress in those areas. This is also a great place to share your self-reflection.

I did not do as well on my MCAT as I had hoped and plan on retaking. What should I do?
- Notify AMCAS that you intend to retake the exam no later than September 30, 2018.
- Your application would be reviewed with the current scores and either moved forward or held and then would be reviewed again once the new MCAT scores is posted to your application by AMCAS. Do not submit a score report.
